About the Food and Farm Communications Fund

Eligibility and Selection Criteria Guidelines

The initiative follows a two-step application process. Step One requires the submission of a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) through the link supplied on the "Applying to the Fund" page. After all LOIs are received, FFCF will contact those applicants who are most competitive, and invite them to complete Step Two — the submission of a full proposal. At this time the fund can't give feedback for the LOIs that don't move forward.

Grants are awarded against a set of specific goals and outcomes. Proposals are evaluated using the following overarching criteria:

Grant Award Range

Grants in the range of $10,000 to $100,000 will be available under this call for proposals. Projects should be submitted for one year of funding. Pending project evaluation, renewals may be available for further years of funding.

PLEASE NOTE: The Food and Farm Communications Fund is unable to accept unsolicited inquiries or applications for the 2017-2018 funding round while we undergo an evaluation and redesign. The FFCF is planning to launch a new website and set of evaluation criteria by summer 2018. At that time, we anticipate resuming the open two-step submission process. Please keep checking back and we appreciate your interest in the fund.
